Waves/Custom ship Walkthrough
Miner Gun Builder Wave Guide
This is a complete guide from starting waves to having all chunks you need. About which chunks to buy, which items to use, and when you should give up in a wave run to get the most rc/min.
Before you read any further please keep in mind, that this will be a full guide, so it could take the fun from some people. But also keep in mind that buying the wrong tiles, especially at the start of waves can slow you down extremely and some chunks seem good but aren't.
Read Wave explanation before this if you don't know how waves and custom ships work.
Start waves
Before you start doing waves, you should be tier 1000 to use the wave skill tree, have all the needed legendaries, and enough base damage.
Wave skilltree:
Legendarys:
When you have that you can now start playing waves
Full waveguide:
This is the order to buy the chunk
Now let's rush through the waves and get your first few chunks! Well, actually no...
To get your first 2 chunks it is best to just lose at wave 1 which takes 28 seconds and gives you 1 RC so about 2rc/min.
When you bought the first 2 chunks you can now make this build
It uses 9 Square aoe to hit all blocks in one row and the hp pierce to pierce through and hit all blocks with one shot. It is better than the normal pierce since you do more damage than the early waves have hp and also it has both skills which makes it even better.
With this go to wave 21 and give up, you still only get only 1 rc per run(one at wave 1 + one at wave 20 -1 because you give up) but it takes less than 28 seconds to get to wave 21 so it is better.
You don't need damage items because your base damage should be enough to go to wave 21 and you really need the other 10
You now have enough places to put most legendariesAnd since the light blue chunk decreases the time between waves so you fly faster, you now need more projectile speed so your projectiles can keep up.
With this build and the further ones you can go for a long run instead of wave 21, but don't go for max wave. The best is to go to the point where the rc/min is the highest which will be close to the point where you don't one-hit the waves anymore.
Now you already need 2 extra speed. You can also fit all needed legendaries now.
Congrats you have the most beautiful build in the whole game IMO, because it can fit exactly everything you need and not more.
Here comes some variety. Buying a different chunk than wavespeed XD
From now on there is not that much that will change in the build
New Speed Chunk means new speed item.
Rest is only trying to adapt to the new chunks
7 speed now, this is the max amount you will stay with since you will also not buy any more wavespeed chunks.
Since now it is only adding more 33%x2 items I will only show you the new layout:
You can go back to tiers grind
Can u show it finished ?
ReplyDeleteYeah sure: https://imgur.com/a/qs6U760
DeleteThe empty are just filled with 33% x2 at best if you don't have enough usw the left/right curve that give 40% damage
Cant seem to open the photo, do you know why?
DeleteI can open it idk why you can't. Did you copy the link correct?
DeleteShouldn't there be 10 AoE instead of 9?
ReplyDeleteNo 9 is enough, when you have the 2nd skill of the rectangle aoe, you can even use 8 but that is risky
DeleteWhat should I add after maxing out my 33℅x2?
DeleteIf the price is max that doesn't mean you can not buy more. If you have max money you can buy it. Max money is 9223P. Max items you can have is 137.
DeleteAnyway if you don't have enough of the x2 use the left and right curve with their skills. Then each one is a x1.4 mukti
Whoa! I didn't know this. Thank you, MasterNO!
DeleteShouldn't you use a wave countdown block instead of a 3*3 space block because of the debuff ? Or is it better because of more space And the angle legendary.
ReplyDeleteThe 3x3 gives you 4 more items than the wave countdown. 4 items are worth more than the debuff
DeleteI think this guide might be outdated since the release of factions.
ReplyDeleteCharged Round - 45% chance of adding 160% energy damage is better than 40% chance of adding 150% normal damage. Though this is additive so only one is beneficial.
Protonic - Applies a stacking 50% additional energy damage over 2 seconds per hit. DOT damage stacks additively with every hit and refreshes the DOT duration. This can melt the toughest targets as the damage begins to stack when the buff is maintained on a block. Great for extremely high levels where initial power no longer knocks them down.
A bunch of changes to the tree and basic items have happened too. https://germapurapps.com/?page_id=575
I think for the most part what you have still works I just don't think it is quite the same as what it was at one time.
Yes the charged and thermite rounds are better. But that doesn't make the guide out dated. And even if it would be it is only slightly and I won't update it to be optimal. If you have theses items use them instead of the x2.5.
DeleteDOT is not good for rc farm since you normally leave once you Slow down. It might be useful for very high wave runs
How do you insert items? It only lets me insert blocks
ReplyDeletelook into this guide https://mgb-help-masterno.blogspot.com/2022/01/wave-custom-ship-guide.html
DeletePortals completely change this, don't they? You don't need any of the wave countdown blocks anymore with portals
ReplyDeleteThis is still a good way to start your wave grind. Snail is a very good and cheap ship. Portals will change the later wave grind which before also differed from snail. (Snail is the the ship build in this guide)
DeleteFirst - thank you so much for publishing all of this information, for answering the comments, etc.. This isn't the clearest or most well documented game I've ever played, so everything you've shared about it is really useful. So yeah, thanks man! Second, do you have any other guides or info that you've written about new blocks, how they work, etc?
ReplyDeleteAnyways, thanks again. I really appreciate it.
Appreciate the feedback 😃
DeleteThe factions guide doesn't really include the new blocks actually. I might have to add that. Or rather make a guide for all blocks overall.
For the new items there are pretty much only 3 that you want to use. Charged/Thermite rounds, and the double pierce. From the rounds get as many as you can since with 45%chance to do x2.6dmg they are the best crit items in the game. The double pierce is good for later tiers or faction missions. Add 2 of it at the end of the path
Ya know you got 2 block purchases backwards in the first image.
ReplyDeleteWhat legendary item you take for good wave items?(no 40% x2.5 mods and a lot of faction bullets)
ReplyDeletesame as shown in the guide
DeleteYou mean the legendary guide after tier 1800? https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-0yI6I8gzTMY/YhH8EzE6pJI/AAAAAAAAADc/BFForE0jlrgFk-9St8MJZ0yKOXEyUFPrwCNcBGAsYHQ/s1600/1645345988824098-0.png
Deleteno, the builds that are shown in the guide here. for later wave builds it is the same as for the starter ones here
DeleteYou said the legendary that adds 100dmg is not effective at high tier. But still using that legendary?(:item_legendary_100dmg: )
Deleteif you are above tier 2000 don't use it
DeleteIs there discord for the game to exchange information?
ReplyDeleteyes https://discord.gg/YgftYtkz
Deletethis build sucks now
ReplyDeleteit doesn't really suck but it can definitely be better
DeleteI know I am late to this, but if I am correct on this very site there is the build for the later stages. This build is only supposed to be to get you to those later stages.
